Why I Created "Everyone Loves Pizza" By Nathan Grant
I love pizza (especially pepperoni)! Pizza has been my favorite food ever since I was a little kid.
My twin brother, Nik, was diagnosed with MPS II Hunter Syndrome when he was three. Nik and children like Nik have inspired me to create this club.
In March of 2013, my brother was admitted to an impatient center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. There were many children there and they only had hospital food to eat. One day, a local pizzeria delivered pizza to the children. They were so happy because it was something different to eat. They had food - delicious food! - that was not made in the hospital. (Yes, even though pizza may not be the most healthy of foods, you can always add vegetable toppings.)
All of the kids were smiling. They even cheered the delivery men bringing in the pizza! That's when I knew I was going to create a club. A club in which people who love pizza can rate and review local restaurants. A club which serves ill and needy children like those in that hospital. A club that brings smiles to both the sick and the healthy. After all, everyone loves pizza!
"Everyone Loves Pizza" currently reviews one local pizzeria each month. Each semester, we pick the best rated restaurant and we personally send pizza from that restaurant to local organizations serving the needy and the ill. It's all about reviewing pizza, serving our community, and having fun!
